Access statement Guests may be dropped off outside the house. Free parking is available just across the lane directly opposite the house. Also, more secure parking is available in the field if required. Assistance with luggage is always available and we are ready to welcome you from 1 o’clock on the day of your arrival. The proprietor is always present to offer assistance and a warm welcome. If you should need to arrive particularly late in the evening, please let us know your arrangements and we will be happy to help. Public transport is available on the main road (a short walk up a slightly steep hill) where you will find buses to Aberystwyth, (via Aberaeron), Cardigan or Carmarthen, which leave at hourly intervals. Timetables are always available for your information. Train services to all parts of the United Kingdom are available from Aberystwyth or Carmarthen. The nearest shop mobility scheme is available in Aberaeron. Access to the main entrance is via a shallow step up to the doorway, through the small (and level) courtyard. Thereafter one step (22cm) leads up to a porch, and one shallow step (7cm) brings you through the front door into the hall. The house is all on one level. The bed and breakfast has two fully carpeted rooms. Both rooms are double and en-suite. The bathrooms comprise bath, shower, hand basin, toilet and bidet, and are fully stocked with all toiletries, fluffy towels and dressing gowns. There are no grab-rails. Each room has remote control digital television with Freeview, DVD player, CD / radio, trouser press, hairdryers, ironing facilities (on request). There is good overhead lighting with additional bedside lighting. Tea and coffee making facilities are available at all times, including a wide range of teas, fresh milk, and biscuits. Early morning wake-up calls are available at any time. Telephone calls may be made at any time from the lounge. Room 1 Accessed from the hallway, through a standard width door. The bathroom is en-suite, including toilet, hand basin, bidet, bath and separate corner power shower. Room 1 is all on one level. Room 2; Accessed from the lounge via a step down (12cm) through a standard width doorway. The lounge is a few steps from the hallway. The bathroom is en-suite, comprising toilet, hand basin, bidet, and large corner bath with power shower. The toilet, hand basin and bidet are reached via a step (12cm). Fire alarms are audible, however the proprietor recognises that this may not be suitable for some guests and is happy to discuss alternative alerting and evacuation procedures at the time of booking/checking in. Fire evacuation procedures are clearly explained on arrival. Fire exits are pointed out at this time. A large print menu can be provided by prior arrangement. Special dietary requirements can be easily met by prior arrangement. There is a path which leads from the garden to the beach, which guests are welcome to use. It is quite narrow and extremely uneven and difficult to negotiate in places. It is therefore not recommended that anyone who isn’t fit and able bodied should use it.
